In my artistic work, I give expression to the struggles within the processes of dismantling, destruction, ruin, and annihilation that are eternal and simultaneously occurring in every present situation.

Across all areas of my work as an artist, writer, poet, and therapist, I am driven by a passion to understand and express human emotions and existential anxieties.

In my early artistic works—paintings depicting states of mind and bronze-cast head sculptures—I expressed the insights gained through my process of examining and observing the human inner world, discovering emotion in facial expressions.

Later, in my art, I sought to express the human condition as wounded, fragile, and transient, caught in the struggles of life, through the very materials of art themselves. The materials I use, like us human beings, are organic, soft, and perishable. They include, for example, torn fabric sheets, soft baby toys, hand embroidery, and simple scraps of paper, devoid of any contrived aesthetic embellishment. This distinguishes them from papier-mâché, paper cutouts, or origami, for instance, which possess a decorative quality.
