In this series of works, I use torn fabric sheets and baby toys as artistic materials, which, like us humans, are organic, soft, and perishable. These materials were closely connected to intimate human life, and the emotional objects underwent a creative repair process, transforming from a state of disintegration to a memory that remains preserved over time. The destruction and disintegration were halted in the creative process, and they were reformed as objects preserved as spiritual representations. The objects, which were already in a state of change and destruction, shifted from craft and momentary corporeality to the spiritual realm. In the creative process, an attempt was made to strengthen the dialogue between the current memory and the distant past, represented by the baby toys and torn fabric sheets. Freezing the objects within glass frames, which press them, preserves them and allows them to be carried in the present moment. Each toy or soft sheet carries with it a personal and collective narrative of a process stretching from childhood and softness to loss and association with burial. Thus, a dialogue is created between the past and the present and between the artwork and the viewer.
